Now the typical American everyday family meal has turned in to fast food, do to our busy lifestyles and change in family values. And what has been the result of the multi-billion dollar industry? A vast majority of American over weight and in great danger of there lives ending much to early. And what are we teaching our American youth about healthy lifestyles when all they see on t.v. is adds for quick and easy food? Yes America is making a push to be healthier by implementing fit programs and healthier alternatives in kids meals but is this enough?

The “American” auto industry is anything but such. Yes, the profit from the sales of these vehicles goes directly to american owned company but as far as helping the everyday economy it dose not. Most of the parts for American automobiles are made in Mexico, due to the cheaper labor costs. These auto company's are not out to help the average blue collar working man but to do what is best the multi million dollar company its self. Now looking at a company like Toyota is more "American made" then our vehicles. They employ american workers and factory's to make/assembly a greater amount of there vehicles in such helping the everyday man make a living, in such helping the economy as a whole more.

One More Round
This art work can be viewed in many ways. What you notice first is the military uniform and its correlation to the title, “One More Round” but that rely the over lying message? Then hopefully you notice the material this man is constructed out of, glass bottles. But why!? The statics of military members falling victim to the addiction of alcoholism as a result of PTSD is on the rise and as a result so is sexual assault. The shell casing falling off the shelves and crashing on the floor symbolize the victims of this assault. When one falls no one notices for long, but when some many fall out then it become an issue. The glass also represents the fragile life style of an alcoholic.
Wanna Another Light?
When looking at the statistics of smokers in america and considering the know consequences of smoking in this day in age, why is smoking still so popular? This was the question and goal in start of the process. The more interviews I did and the more I talked to smokers, and evaluated myself as a smoker, the answer became very clear we enjoyed our habit, as bad as it maybe. The USA is not the number one smoking nation in the world but we defiantly have the most accrued stigma surrounding the people that choose this lifestyle. This piece was meant to resentment the smokers as a whole and the pride they feel as smokers of american. Yes, this work can also read in the negative since considering all the packs of cigarettes that were collected to make this project occurred in less then 2 months.
